After I finished reading “Midnight’s Children,” I needed something a LOT lighter. So I read “The Shining” in two weeks (it only took me that long because I’m really busy). After I finished that, I started reading “The Mysterious Flame of Queen Leona” by Umberto Eco. And … I still need something really light. So it’s time for some Vonnegut. I didn’t realize how recent “Timequake” is, it was written in 1996. I’m loving it so far. Vonnegut is both incredibly cynical but genuinely hopeful and fascinated with people. Great spring reading.
